Courses in English

You can start any Monday (except Bank Holidays) and study in the morning and/or afternoon.

The joint Principals, both graduates in English, recognised by the UK Department of Education & Science and Member of The Chartered Institute of Linguists are very experienced in all aspects of language teaching.

Standard Group Course.

This HALF-DAY semi-intensive course is specifically aimed at students who wish to learn at competitive prices within a small group situation. There is a maximum of 12 students per class. Classes meet from 09.00 to 12.00 Monday to Friday, a total of 15 hours per week.

Using a variety of teaching / learning methods the aim of this general course is to improve your confidence in real situations by developing the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grammar practice is a vital element of this course.

Intensive English Language Course.

5 hours per day, 25 hours per week, this total immersion course is recommended for those who wish to learn English quickly. In a small group setting of not more than 12 students, the morning session follows the Standard Group Course from 09.00 to 12.00, Monday to Friday. A follow-up programme in the afternoon from 13.00 to 15.00 consolidates the morning programme and emphasises English speaking, listening and understanding skills.

Semi-Private Course.

Micro-group teaching (a maximum of 5 students) allows the teacher to monitor the progress of each individual more effectively. Emphasis is placed on full student participation.

Classes meet for 3 hours every day, Monday to Friday.

One-To-One Course.

Individual tuition is available for those wishing to learn quickly and thoroughly. Such a course may suit those in business who have limited time or those who wish for more flexible tuition times.

Evaluating your needs takes up the first session: a programme is then arranged to suit your requirements.

Special/Business/Executive Courses.

These English courses are tailored to suit individual needs and are usually private (one tutor/one student). Each course lasts for 15 or 25 hours per week (one to four weeks) for executives who need to improve their written and spoken English.

Particular attention is paid to developing fluency in business situations.

Part-Time English Courses.

These courses are particularly suitable for “au pairs”, or those who may be working and do not require a full-time course. Minimum attendance is twice a week.

Monday – Friday 09.30 to 12.00, 13.00 to 14.30 and 13.00 to 15.00.

Established in the early 1980s Bromley Language Centre is very experienced in all aspects of language development

At Bromley Language Centre we offer quality courses in foreign languages for business and leisure as well as preparation for formal examinations.

SPEAKING, LISTENING and UNDERSTANDING are seen as the most important skills of communication as well as practising the other essential skills of READING and WRITING.

ACCOMMODATION SERVICE

Host family accommodation (Half Board: Breakfast + Evening Meal) £28.00 per night shared twin room,

(£35 single room, minimum 7 nights). An arrangement fee is included in this price.

Guest house or Hotel (Bed & Breakfast only) from £70 per night per person. 

Double room and en-suite by arrangement. Accommodation is booked from the Sunday before the course begins.

TERMS & GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. Written acceptance of enrolment by the centre constitutes a valid agreement for the fees and the length of course specified

2. No refund or assignment of fees is made and there is no credit for students who miss sessions.

3. Minimum age 16 years (Adult school) 12 years  (School Groups accompanied by teachers and/or parents)

4. Students are not insured by the centre or by the host family against illness, accident, loss, theft or damage to property/personal effects.

Students are strongly advised to take out personal insurance cover.

1. The centre acts as agents in arranging accommodation not as principals. An arrangement fee is included in the price.

2. Some extra activities, such as transport, cultural visits, sport, etc., are at the student’s expense.

3. All bank transfer charges incurred by the centre are to be paid by the student.

4. Some courses include breaks of not more than 30 minutes. Bank Holidays and other holiday breaks are included in all fees,

       except 1:1 tuition.

1. The centre reserves the right to alter classes, time & place of study, fees and accommodation. At certain times of the year lessons may

 take place in other local premises.

1. A holiday of 1 week is allowed per 12 week’s attendance.

CANCELLATION  CHARGES  (All cancellations  must  be in  writing to the centre)

1. If cancellation is made 15 days or more before expected arrival, £90 + deposit  will be forfeited by the student.

If cancellation is made two clear weeks or less before arrival, 50% fees  (min £90) + 1 week’s accommodation,  will be forfeited.

1. If cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the course starts, or once the course has started, fees cannot be refunded or assigned  for any reason. 

2. All deposits upon booking are non-returnable.
